Blackwaterfoot has been a popular family holiday destination for many years, and the Greannan is an ideal location from which to explore the many local attractions and the island as a whole.

The Greannan is situated in an elevated position with panoramic views over the village of Blackwaterfoot and the Shiskine Valley

The Greannan comprises of two self catering apartments and Bed & Breakfast accommodation. This privately owned property [former hotel] was fully refurbished in 1998.

Bed & Breakfast available from March to October.
Prices from £27.50 per person per night.
All linen & towels included in price

The village of Blackwaterfoot is 0.5 miles from the Greannan and has a butcher, bakery, hairdresser, newsagent, garage, licensed grocer/post office and hotels offering a wide range of meals one of which also boasts a leisure centre which is open to non members.

Local attractions
Golfing, fishing, pony trekking, hill walking, tennis, bowling and swimming.

Blackwaterfoot has a beautiful sandy beach with the renowned 12 holed golf course [open to non members] and scenic walk to the famous "Kings Caves", with a large variety of wildlife.


Location: The Greannan is on the South side of the Shiskine valley approx. 0.5 mls outside Blackwaterfoot on the A841 towards Machrie.

Availability:Apartments are available all year round, including Christmas and New Year.
Weekly letting periods Sat-Sat [weekend lettings by arrangement]. Entry time 4pm. Exit time 11am.

Each apartment is well equipped and finished to a high standard. Each kitchen has a built in hob/oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, toaster, electric kettle, iron and hoover.
All utensils, cookware, cutlery, glassware and crockery.
There is oil central heating throughout.Although bedding [duvets, pillows and spare blankets] are provided you are asked to bring your own bed linen, towels and kitchen linen.

Well behaved pets are welcomed.
